Interesting Facts

Direct residency Pathways

You may be fortunate to have been offered a direct pathway for permanent residency with certain employer sponsored visas. For example, Employer Nomination Scheme (186 visa), offers direct pathways for long-term residency, which gives the worker stability without worries of leaving, and/or wearing of renewing visas every couple of years.

No points system

Employers sponsoring skilled workers & utilize employer sponsored visas, do not need to rely on a points system. As they rely on the employment offer and labor market testing requirements, as well as, a clear understanding of the skill and experience requirements involved in the employment offer.

Bridging the critical skill shortfall

These visas have all been designed to help employers meet critical skill shortfalls in Australia by allowing employment sponsored visa workers to come into Australia when employers are unable to find a local or Australian citizen suitably qualified and credentialed to work in that area.
